Exciting news for me this week. I moved forward in a writing contest for NYC Midnight’s 100-word challenge. To create a complete story or concept in 100 words proved to be more fun than I anticipated. The original group in the first round was over six thousand writers. The next round is down to sixteen hundred fifty-one people. Each group receives a genre, an action that has to happen in your story, and a word to fit in there too. It was fun making each word count. Moving forward would be thrilling, but I’m excited to learn I love micro-short stories, even if this is as far as I go.
