I bought a poster from Amazon with the top 100 books considered classics. While I know I’ve read several of them, there are over 50 I haven’t. So, the following year (or maybe much longer), I plan to read as many as possible. Rereading those I’ve already read in the past also. Some of the books are way out of the genres that I love. My interest is to continue learning through literature. We encourage young people to do this, yet we’ll often stick to the same old things. Never reaching beyond what is comfortable or possible.
Do you ever challenge yourself? My grandpa told me he would create personal challenges for himself from time to time. Maybe that’s where I get it. Whatever your interests, challenge yourself today to do something that might be hard, inconvenient, or even embarrassing. Why not have a fun story to tell a few years from now?
