Spring Break Reading for Kids

Even though it doesn’t feel like spring here in Southern Indiana yet, I know it’s on the way. Signs of spring are everywhere, just not the temperature! Today is cloudy with a chance of rain later while the temperature is only supposed to be in the high 50’s. So, I’ll wear my warm knee high boots for a few more days and hope for warmer temps.

It’s the time of the year for spring break for lots of families that are heading off on short vacations. Long drives or down time for kids in condos could lead to more screen time than you might like. Why not get them a fun entertaining read about four boys who find adventure on a camping trip? Off the Grid, book 2 in The Bomb Squad series. Get your copy here.

While this is a family friendly book, don’t mistake that to mean boring. The boys find a waterfall, a cave, some treasure, and meet up with an angry bobcat. All things children could encounter in my part of the country! Bryan and his three friends are realistic characters with real problems but the boys stick together through this adventure while showing bravery and friendship.

If you don’t mind screen time, don’t forget that Off the Grid can be downloaded in digital form also. Here is the link for a digital copy that is FREE right now on Kindle.

No matter what spring break brings for your family, I pray you have a wonderful vacation. Happy Spring!
